ITI Pulwama was brought under the scheme of PPP scheme (Public Private Partnership) in the year 2008. Under this Scheme the IMC (Institutional Management Committee) was formed in collaboration with industrial partners with following objectives.
Role and Functions:
• The IMC encourages donation of machinery and equipments to the institute.
• The IMC ensures appointment of contract faculty as and when required.
• The IMC helps students in registration with local employment exchange, overseas employment cell and regional headquarters of industry associations.
• The IMC also encourages campus interviews for trainees.
• The IMC identifies and encourages training needs of the existing faculty.
• The IMC encourages the relation between industry and the institute.
• The IMC encourages arrangement of workshops, seminars and exhibitions for mutual benefits of trainees, faculty and industry.
• The IMC supervises the maintenance and replacement of equipments at the institute.
• The IMC also encourages industries to actively participate and contribute to the development of vocational training.

It gives me pleasure to know that Industrial Training Institute Pulwama is going to operate a web site. This is a historical Step in globalization of modern technology and providing the connectivity to likewise Industrial Training Institutes in rest of country. This web site will prove a mile stone in the history of J&K.
Small scale industrial sector plays a very vital role in the Indian Industrial Economy. Lot of reformations have been undertaken by the planners and implementers to install dynamism in the industrial economy through competition. The productivity of the small scale industries and other industrial sectors directly depends upon availability of appropriate skilled work force at the easy reach.
This institute is producing technicians, artisans and skilled workers in Electrical, Electronics, garment, hospitality and IT and Communication sectors etc since long time. This institute is imparting quality education by virtue of its vast infrastructure and abysmal facilities. I congratulate its principal and staff for doing enough for its progress. I also congratulate trainees of this institute for being a part of this progressive and pioneer institute.
